Toronto: April 24, 2009: When the market leader in high efficiency toilets

brings a new model to market, it’s time to take notice. American Standard has

more 1000MaP tested high efficiency model toilets available to home owners

than any other manufacturer in Canada and with the introduction of the highperforming

H2Option Dual Flush unit their lead is sure to increase.

H2Option Dual Flush Toilet - Siphon Jetted Technology

“The H2Option Dual Flush toilet, meets the 6 litre full flush, 3.4 litre partial flush

standard for high efficiency toilets while at the same time boosts day-to-day

performance by adding superior siphon jetted technology,” says Graeme

Lennox, Marketing Manager for American Standard Brands in Canada.

"H2Option uses jetted siphonic action which adds push to the water from under

the rim of the bowl. When the user flushes the H2Option, some of the water is

instantly diverted to the rim of the toilet where there are a series of chambers.

The air in these chambers pushes the ongoing incoming water forcefully out

into the bowl. Combined with the force of the rest of the water entering the

bowl, the siphon pull action is strong."

The H2Option Dual Flush toilet complies with the rigorous standards of the

WaterSense program, recently launched by the Environmental Protection

Agency in the USA.

A chrome-plated button centered on the top of the tank lets the user choose

between full and partial flush. Apart from high performance and high water use

efficiency, the new H2Option Dual Flush toilet incorporates design features,

such as the sanitary dam on the rear of the bowl and flush-mounted actuating

controls that make cleaning easier and faster. And a slow close toilet seat

cover is also an added feature.

Wheel Chair Users

This stylish new bathroom fitting is available in three styles; a space-saving

round fronted bowl, a more comfortable elongated bowl, and a taller elongated

bowl for wheelchair users. Prices range from $425 to $495. The H2Option

Dual Flush toilet will be available in June 2009 in White, Bone and Linen from

Bath and Kitchen retail stores across Canada.
