KWC Kitchen Faucets
KWC - Designer Kitchen Faucets
KWC faucets enhance people's appreciation of the precious commodity of water and increase the joy it gives. KWC faucet products embody the traditional values of Swiss craftsmanship, both in their functionality and in their aesthetic.
KWC is the leader for luxury kitchen faucets in private and professional fields which successfully combines Swiss innovation with technology, precision and fascination. KWC is Water Performance.
KWC SAROS: Smooth functionality, versatile design in the kitchenThe new KWC SAROS range of single-lever kitchen faucets delivers exceptional functionality for the busy, modern kitchen, as well as distinctive styling that fits equally well with both contemporary and traditional spaces. Featuring clean lines, a well-proportioned cylindrical body and an ergonomically designed pull-out spray, KWC SAROS incorporates a self-cleaning technology that keeps its spout free of mineral deposits that can hamper performance.
Manufactured by KWC in Unterkulm, Switzerland, the new series consists of three faucets, all with water-saving flow rates of 1.8 gallons per minute at 60 psi (pounds per square inch). The smallest unit is a bar faucet - with a "reach" (front to back) of 6-1/2 inches - featuring an attractive, gooseneck, swivel-spout design that rotates 160deg.
The two larger models - a full-sized kitchen faucet (reach: 8-7/8 inches) and a prep faucet (7- 3/16 inches) - come equipped with a curved, pull-out spray that nestles so comfortably into the hand, its use is fully intuitive, regardless of its position or function.
Magnetically docked to the 360deg swivel spout, the spray extends nearly two feet, while locking tightly back into place with just a click when returned to its fully retracted position. Two spray settings are offered: an aerated Neoperl Cascade and a needle spray.
KWC SAROS is hygienic as well, because it is so easy to clean: The two larger faucets incorporate a practical feature called KWC JETCLEAN to reduce lime deposits. As water flows through the pull-out spray, the outlets in its faceplate - made of a soft but resilient material - expand to prevent deposits from accumulating.
Any deposits that remain are easily removed, thanks to a quick-fastening mechanism called TAC (Turn And Clean) that permits the faceplate to be unscrewed, cleaned and reinserted, all without tools.
Finally, the transitions at the comparatively few joints on the KWC SAROS are seamless and therefore easy to wipe clean, with no protruding edges that might collect dirt. Logical, safe handling: Designed and manufactured to exacting quality standards, the new KWC SAROS faucets turn technological innovation into safe and smooth functionality. For example: All three models operate with a low-profile lever, which uses an innovative sliding mechanism and moves smoothly in three different directions to control flow and temperature. The lever can be positioned on the left, the right or even at the front, depending on user preference.
Water temperature is controlled by pulling the lever forward for colder water, or pushing it away for hot - opposite the way most faucets operate. This new, common-sense feature is designed to protect young children from coming in contact with excessively hot water.
The TouchControl feature on the pull-out spray guarantees user safety at all times. Because the spray never becomes hot, there is no danger of being burned. The KWC faucet 2.5 cartridge with ceramic-disc technology ensures that water flow and temperature can be continuously adjusted with total reliability and safety.
The curved, pull-out spray nestles so comfortably into the hand, its use is fully intuitive, regardless of its position or function. News Release: KWC SAROS for the kitchen Available in chrome and splendour stainless steel finishes, all three spouts leave plenty of space underneath, so that even high-sided pans can be manipulated and filled comfortably. "The new KWC SAROS will make a highly distinctive impression wherever it is placed in a kitchen, whether the styling is modern or traditional,
KWC AVA COOLFIX: The smart, simple way to save water and energyThe new KWC AVA single-lever basin faucet with COOLFIX technology offers an ingeniously simple way to save energy without sacrificing comfort or convenience. The standard setting of the operating lever of a single-lever faucet is straight ahead; that is, in the "six o'clock" position. With most such faucets, lifting the lever brings a mix of hot and cold water, even if the user neither needs nor wants warm water. If the consumer prefers only cold water, he or she must rotate the handle to the far right, potentially wasting water and energy in the form of heated water going down the drain, unused.
With KWC's award-winning COOLFIX technology, the six o'clock middle position has been designed "full cold," so that no hot water is delivered in this setting. This, in turn, saves energy each time the faucet is activated. The only way to draw warm water - and use energy - is to rotate the lever clockwise and away from the middle position (photo right), which is where most consumers - for aesthetic reasons - prefer to keep the lever when the faucet is not running.
KWC AVA with COOLFIX: Saves hot water without sacrificing convenience.KWC AVA for the bath is currently available only on the new KWC AVA lavatory faucet, the KWC COOLFIX technology was awarded the Innovation Prize in October 2010 from the Swiss magazine Hauser modernisieren. The KWC AVA basin faucet also incorporates the Neoperl Cache aerator, which reduces water flow to 1.5 gallons per minute (gpm), a 40 percent savings over conventional 2.5 gpm faucets, but - once again - without sacrifice to user comfort.
"At KWC, environmentally aware use of energy and water is an important concern for us," explains Roland Gloor, CEO of KWC AG in Unterkulm, Switzerland. "But the focus is not on complex technology that is prone to frequent failures, but rather on fully developed systems and simple mechanisms that help our customers handle water and energy with care on a daily basis, while also ensuring the greatest comfort."
The new basin mixer with COOLFIX and ceramic disc technology is part of the new KWC AVA faucet and shower range for the bathroom, introduced by the Atlanta-based KWC AMERICA this spring. The comprehensive collection also encompasses a tall basin faucet for vessel sinks, as well as a bathtub spout, overhead showers, a hand shower and a sliding wall bar; shower trim kits for either thermostatic and pressure balance valve applications; and an assortment of rough-in components and complementary accessories.
Designed for contemporary and transitional decors, KWC AVA offers slender geometric forms and surfaces that make a striking impression while operating in a smooth and graceful fashion. But the slim proportions and cubic contours of the faucets are also equipped with the latest technology and designed to offer years of reliable service with minimal maintenance.
Among the many captivating features of the two KWC AVA basin faucets are their flat handles, each based on a unique and innovative lever-operating principle with a concealed lifting mechanism. The handle lifts and turns in a single movement, delivering a completely new and different feel to activating a faucet: effortless, harmonious, and logical.
KWC LIVELLO: The perfect match with modern kitchen designFeaturing a sleek horizontal spout with a striking 90-degree profile, the new single-lever KWC LIVELLO is KWC's elegant answer to right-angled kitchen faucets. Its clear use of basic forms and perfect proportions, engineered to the smallest detail, convey high quality and smart aesthetics. The ergonomic movements, innovative technology and harmonious overall appearance of KWC LIVELLO demonstrate that this series offers an original and uncompromising design – not merely a restyled derivative of some existing model. Simple, minimalist and authentic, the KWC LIVELLO is the ideal complement to the contemporary American kitchen.
The new KWC LIVELLO kitchen faucet series is available in a chrome or stainless steel finish, with each finish offering a different operating lever design: a flat handle for chrome; a rounded, joy-stick-style handle for stainless steel. But whichever style combination is preferred, KWC LIVELLO incorporates the following, distinctive features:
Easy to use: KWC LIVELLO maximizes flexibility of movement with a full, 360-degree swivelling range for the nine-inch spout, plus an integrated horizontal pullout spray that can be extended nearly 24 inches. Filling large pots and tall containers is easily done, thanks to the 11-3/4-inch height of the spout and the ability to rotate it in any direction. With such a generous radius of action, end users will never feel they are working on a "short leash" in the kitchen. Easy to clean: The integrated Neoperl Cache aerator in the KWC LIVELLO is easily removed from the spout, using a key that is provided. This allows for quick and effective cleaning to keep the 1.8-gallon-per-minute flow running smoothly.
Multiple configurations: For either handle style, the lever can be installed on the right, the left or in front of the escutcheon to suit the preference of the end user. Manufactured by KWC in Unterkulm, Switzerland, KWC LIVELLO incorporates the latest in kitchen faucet technology, including the KWC 3.5 ceramic cartridge, to ensure years of reliable, trouble-free performance. Its clean and simple lines and user-friendly functionality make KWC LIVELLO an easy fit in any contemporary kitchen, while its distinctive right-angle profile projects a timeless beauty.
