Established in 1820, Samuel Heath is an English manufacturer that has become internationally renowned for innovation and quality
As a manufacturer of bathroom accessories, taps, showers and architectural hardware that Samuel Heath has built a worldwide reputation for stylish design, quality and performance since 1820 when the company first began to manufacture the finest pieces of solid brassware from its premises in Birmingham, England.
Whilst proud of this heritage Samuel Heath is also a pioneer of new movements in bathroom faucets and architectural hardware design. Investment in state of the art technology and the brightest design talent is thus coupled with time-honoured British craftsmanship to make the company a trusted yet stimulating brand for interior designers, architects and homeowners around the world.
Alongside state of the art manufacturing technology a unique blend of traditional time-honored techniques are employed to ensure the highest quality of production.
Samuel Heath insists on hand polishing to ensure the smoothest and most adhesive surface for high quality plating. The requirement is a perfectly smooth finish for flawless plating. Every tap is assembled by hand and individually tested before leaving our factory, to ensure the highest performance and quality. True to the same principle every single one of our shower baskets are constructed by hand. Each basket ‘wire’ is hand positioned and crimped securely in place, never soldered, so the basket will remain perfect for years to come.
A wide range of lustrous finishes on all its products
From Satin Chrome to Polished Nickel, Antique Gold and even Matt Black Chrome, each finish has a flawless surface with a stunning depth that is made to stand the test of time.
Using the finest European brass, the Master Polishers create a perfectly smooth surface with no imperfections. This is crucial in providing a flawless surface so that once electroplated, the finish bares the distinguishing features of depth, lustre and durability that Samuel Heath products are renowned for.
Chrome Plate, Antique Gold and other similar finishes are lacquered for to achieve a lustrous and hard wearing finish. Finishes such as Non Lacquered Brass and Polished Nickel are hand polished and darken progressively over time; developing a unique and rich patina. Conversely the finish can be polished to maintain a naturally reflective, high gloss mirror finish.
A diverse range of metal and pure brass finishes means Samuel Heath brassware is ideal for both traditional and contemporary settings. Furthermore, many of Samuel Heath’s finishes are available across its bathroom and hardware collections, allowing for seamless continuity.
